River Plate crush Atletico Tucuman 4-1 in Argentine League

First-half goals from Miguel Borja and Esequiel Barco set River Plate on their way to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Atletico Tucuman in the Argentine League on Sunday.

Borja opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a clinical finish from inside the area, before Barco doubled the lead just five minutes later with a superb long-range strike.

River Plate continued to dominate after the break, with Borja adding his second of the game in the 55th minute with a close-range header. Agustin Palavecino then made it 4-0 in the 65th minute with a cool finish from the edge of the area.

Atletico Tucuman pulled a goal back through Ramiro Ruiz Rodriguez in the 75th minute, but it was little more than a consolation as River Plate cruised to victory.

The win sees River Plate move up to third in the Argentine League standings, while Atletico Tucuman remain in 10th place.
