Requirements
- iOS 16 or later
- GIF file (saved on your device)
Instructions
1. Save the GIF File
Download or locate the GIF you want to use as your wallpaper and save it to your Photos app or Files app.
2. Convert GIF to Live Photo
- Open the Shortcuts app.
- Tap "Create Shortcut" (+ icon).
- Search for "Convert Image to Live Photo" and add it to the shortcut.
- Select "Photos" and choose the GIF you want to convert.
- Run the shortcut to create a Live Photo from the GIF.
3. Set Live Photo as Wallpaper
- Go to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper.
- Select Live Photos.
- Choose the Live Photo you created from the GIF.
- Set it as your Lock Screen or Home Screen wallpaper.
4. Animate the Wallpaper
Once the Live Photo is set as your wallpaper, press and hold on the screen of your device to activate the animation. The GIF will start playing and add a touch of motion to your screen.
